The 2010 Championship Rockford Foresters Baseball Team announced today that Opening Day 2011 will take place on Friday, June 3 at 7:00pm at Marinelli Field against the Southland Vikings, who the Foresters knocked off to win the league’s first championship in its history.

Festivities surrounding Opening Day 2011 will be announced at a later date, however all tickets for this special game will only be $1 until February 28 with a limit of 10 tickets per customer.  Fans can purchase tickets by calling the team’s office at (815) 312-2115 or emailingjoe@rockfordforesters.com

A full 2011 schedule will be released by the end of January.

The Rockford Foresters are a member of the Great Plains Collegiate Baseball League, which is a summer collegiate wood bat league, is based in the Midwest.  During the Foresters first season in the league, they won the league’s first Championship by beating the Southland Vikings.  Opening Day 2011 is set for Friday, June 3 at 7pm against the Southland Vikings.  All tickets for Opening Day are only $1 until February 28 with a limit of 10 tickets per customer.  Season tickets and corporate sponsorships are currently on sale by contacting the team at (815) 312-2115 orjoe@rockfordforesters.com
