Rockford, IL – The Rockford Foresters Summer Collegiate Wood Bat Team announced today the signing of three players to their 2012 squad. Players include Patrick McKnight of Beloit College, Jared Raupp of Edgewood College, and Phil Toldo of Heartland Community College.
Patrick McKnight, of Garden Prairie, is a pitcher for Beloit College. McKnight played for Belvidere in high school where he was a captain and received an honorable all-conference mention. His favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.
Jared Raupp, of Freeport, currently plays for Edgewood College where he is a catcher. Raupp played for Freeport in high school and his favorite player is the Chicago Cubs.
Phil Toldo, of Rockford, is a left fielder/2nd baseman for Heartland Community College. While playing for Boylan in high school, he was named 1st team all conference both his junior and senior years.
